We never store passwords in plain text — only a bcrypt hash.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us data, email us and we will delete it.
We do not collect sensitive personal information (such as health data, precise geolocation, biometrics, or racial, religious or political information) and do not ask you for it.
We do not use your personal information to train AI models, and we do not sell it.
We never sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we need to run the platform, each under a data-processing agreement:
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or in connection with a merger or sale of assets (in which case this policy continues to apply).
Our servers are in the European Union. If you use Social Circle from the United States or anywhere else outside the EU, your information is transferred to and stored in the EU, which may have different data-protection rules from your own state or country.
Because oderweb d.o.o. is established in the EU, we handle personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as well as applicable U.S. state privacy laws. In practice that means a higher baseline of protection, not a lower one.
We use essential cookies to make the platform work (the session cookie that keeps you signed in). These cannot be switched off without breaking the site.
We use advertising and analytics cookies (the Meta Pixel) only after you consent through the cookie banner. Choosing "Essential only" means no pixel loads.
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. Because we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is nothing to opt out of on that front — but if you send a GPC signal we treat it as a withdrawal of advertising-cookie consent as well.
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights — your account, pricing and access stay exactly the same.
To exercise a right, email support@socialcircle.media from the address on your account. We respond within 30 days and may ask you to verify your identity first. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with your written permission.
If you are in California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon or another state with a comprehensive privacy law, the rights above are the rights that law gives you, and you may appeal a decision by replying to our response. In the 12 months before this policy's effective date we did not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we have no plans to.
No system is perfectly secure. If we ever discover a breach affecting your information, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
If you are not satisfied with how we handled your request, reply to our response and we will look at it again.
Because we are established in the EU you may also complain to the Slovenian Information Commissioner: ip-rs.si. If you are in the U.S., you may contact your state Attorney General.
We will email you about any material change at least 30 days before it takes effect, and update the version and date at the top of this page.
